The amendments to MARPOL Annex VI introducing the short-term measures will be discussed along with the upcoming midterm measures, the associated development of the lifecycle GHG/carbon intensity guidelines for all types of fuels, and the IMO’s efforts to address the safety aspects of the low-carbon fuels like LPG, hydrogen, and ammonia.
