We will discuss the level of readiness for these alternative fuel options as well as the associated operational infrastructure challenges and opportunities.

Panos Koutsourakis
Vice President, Global Sustainability, ABS
Panos Koutsourakis serves as ABS Vice President of Global Sustainability, responsible for driving the ABS sustainability strategy and assisting ship owners and operators with achieving their sustainability goals through industry-leading support and digital solutions. He leads the ABS Global Sustainability Centers of Excellence, the Global Gas Solutions and the Digital Sustainability Team strategically placed around the globe to align with major shipping and offshore hubs.
Koutsourakis has spent two decades in the shipping industry, in a number of roles spanning shipping companies to classification services. Previous roles include serving as Global Technology Leader for a classification society and Innovation, Technology and Projects Leader for GasLog.
Koutsourakis holds an MEng in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
Ralph Juhl
Executive Vice President, Technical, Hafnia, member of BW Group
Ralph Juhl (EVP) is Technical Director at Hafnia. With 40 years of experience, Ralph began his career as an Ordinary Seaman, transitioning on shore 14 years later as Master Mariner. Onshore, Ralph has held various technical positions in safety and quality, crewing, and technical organization strategy, and development. Ralph Juhl has worked with Hafnia since 2014 and oversees all areas of technical operations, service, maintenance, newbuilds and crewing (amongst other topics). He is a member of the Executive Management Team and is Head of the Hafnia Singapore office.
Ralph holds various esteemed industry positions, representing Hafnia across the SKULD Members Committee, the ABS Members Committee, the DNV South-East Asia Committee, Lloyds Asia Shipowners Committee, and the Singapore Maritime Academy. He also represents Hafnia in CEO Forums, Together in Safety and Partners in Safety.
Peter Liew
Chief Executive Officer, Eaglestar Marine Holdings
Captain Peter Liew began his professional career in the marine business in 1984 as a Cadet Officer with MISC. Throughout his career with MISC and AET, he held numerous corporate positions such as Vice President of Chartering, Regional Director of Americas, Commercial Director of Aframax Atlantic, and Global Director of Crude Shipping. He was AET's Global Director of Business Development & Joint Venture Management prior to his appointment as Managing Director/CEO of Eaglestar, a member of the MISC Group.
Captain Peter possesses a Master's Foreign Going Certificate of Competence issued by Malaysia's Ministry of Transport and is a member of the MISC Group's Management Committee (MC) as well as a board member at several MISC Group companies.
Gao DeHui
Chief Executive Officer, SDTR Marine
Mr. Gao Dehui is the CEO of SDTR Marine. He is responsible for the company’s strategic planning, risk management and long term tonnage/new building projects. Mr. Gao started his career in a Chinese conglomerate, managing grain purchasing, futures hedging and freight. Subsequently he has taken on a senior management role in other ship owning companies. Mr. Gao is dedicated to contribute to the shipping industry with his active involvement in various industry initiatives.
In 2021, SDTR MARIINE collaborated with ABS and SDARI to complete the design of the world's first methanol-powered dry bulk carrier. In 2023, they partnered again with SDARI to complete the design of an ammonia-fueled kamsarmax vessel.
Stelios Troulis

Stelios has a wide experience in the Oil and Gas sector. He has spent a number of years in an Oil & Gas Major in a variety of leadership positions in a wide range of business (Upstream, Downstream in both Oil and Gas value chains) with exposure to LNG, Sales and Trading, Marine and M&A. Currently leads the Fuels, Commodity and Specialties activities alongside sustainability and decarbonization in Angelicoussis Group.
Before Joining Angelicoussis Group Stelios was working in ExxonMobil and before this in Deloitte & Touche Consulting, London

Er. Tham Wai Wah is the Senior Director and Chief Engineer for Engineering & Project Management Division and concurrently holds the appointment of Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
As the Senior Director / Chief Engineer, Er. Tham leads the overall strategy & development planning, engineering and execution of all construction related projects within MPA. He is also the Superintending Officer overseeing the development of the Next Generation Tuas Mega Port.
As the CSO, Er. Tham spearheaded the initiative to formulate the Singapore Maritime Decarbonisation Blueprint, to drive the reduction of GHG emissions to meet the IMO targets for international shipping and Singapore’s emission set targets. As part of this framework, he formulated the adoption strategy of low and zero carbon fuels, encouraged pilot trials and fostered the development of industry collaborations across the value chain and ecosystem in the maritime sector.
