Panel 1 - This panel will discuss the safety considerations for establishing green corridors, the topic of the second, soon-to-be released report. Discussions will cover the safety elements involved in developing and establishing a green shipping corridor and will highlight the practical checklist approach laid out in the latest report.
Panel 2 - This panel will cover the upcoming MTF report which will provide guidelines to develop and implement a safety management system for alternative fuels on board ships. This report follows last year’s publication, Operational Management to Accelerate Maritime Decarbonisation, which identified critical gaps in implementing current regulatory conventions and codes. This latest report from MTF offers approaches on how the industry can close some of those identified gaps.
