Qualifying New Technologies: From Innovation to Reality

17
JUN

Event Date: Thursday, June 17, 2021

Time: 9 AM BST and 10 AM CST/CDT

The marine and offshore industries continually develop new technologies and investigate new design concepts to streamline operations, reduce costs and improve safety. Often these design concepts and new technologies can alter the risk profile as they introduce new applications that have not yet been proven in service. Without service history, established standards or regulations for new technologies, key stakeholders and regulatory bodies need to be able to assess readiness, maturity and safety.

Join us as we discuss the importance of technology qualification and how ABS can assist with solutions that can minimize project risk during the design process, taking your novel design and new technology from innovation to reality. Our speakers will address:

  • What is the difference between a novel concept and new technology qualification process?
  • How each process works together for a seamless transition to Class approval
  • Why early engagement with ABS will help demonstrate project feasibility to your stakeholders
